Day 4 of the 150 Best Self Edison Deck is an Icebreaker: If you could have any fictional character as your friend, who would you choose and why?
Today, because having a friend with both magical powers and a sense of humor would make life even more interesting, I choose Samantha “Sam” Stephens from the sitcom “Bewitched” that ran from 1964-1972. Who couldn’t use someone on their BFF speed dial with a resume that includes immortality, magic, spell casting, telekinesis, flight, freeze frame, teleportation, hypnosis, charisma and charm. Plus a mischievous nose for restoring justice by messing with those lacking moral character or ethics, most notably Darrin's boss Larry Tate who has a loose code of business and personal ethics, and who has no qualms about "stretching the truth" or outright fabricating a story. Plus she brings an interesting clan of relatives.
And I am certain Sam could change the soundtrack from "Bewitched, Bothered, and Bewildered" to "Bewitched, Bedazzled and Beguiled."
